 Release History

About

Requirements

  • Windows operating system with latest servicepack (Windows XP/Vista/7/2003/2008). Note that Windows 8 and 2012 are untested.
    • For TAPI Wave-version we recommend Windows XP 32-bit or 2003 32-bit server. Note that Windows 7 64-bit doesn't support TAPI Wave.
  • Open TCP and UDP ports both directions between server and PBX.
  • 2 GB memory or more is recommended.
  • Soundcard must exist for Avaya IP Office version (their TAPI Wave requires it)

Licenses needed

Avaya IP Office

  • 3rd party TAPI
  • TAPI Wave licenses (4 channels should work). Future releases of WorkMan HVS will be using SIP trunks but that is most likely late 2012.

Hotelsystem

Each hotelsystem needs specific licenses and a discussion with the reseller of the hotelsystem should be established so correct licenses can be obtained. If a system is not supported we need a SDK and technical contact with the vendor established to see if we can create a link to that system and at what additional cost.

Troubleshooting

  • You must have a soundcard on the server otherwise it won't work. Note that if you do a remote desktop to the PC it might bring your local soundcard and you can install the wave-driver even though it won't work.
  • Default sound device should not be Avaya widwod-driver.
  • Some old installation uses the folder sv for soundfiles while the folder sw is created. Copy the folder sw and name the new folder sv.
  • When you dial in to register a wake up and you already have one it doesn't play a prompt and the log registers something like VB-Port: 2 Playing alternative menu, C:\Program Files\Westcon HVS\voice\SW\wu_reg,7:,0,:. In older versions of HVS you must have hh:mm:ss as time setting and it may indicate that you are using english or something else as a nationality setting. This problem will be fixed in next release of HVS.

Integrations

FIAS - Fidelio Interface Application Specification

  • Please check with Micros-Fidelio for information about what license you need.
  • HVS uses a room-based approach and doesn't support moving guests
  • HVS always uses the last check in for name of the guest.
  • HVS can only have one wakeup-call and if a remove event from HS is sent the wakeup-call is cleared (even though the date/time might not match)
